本期我们的雅思讲堂带大家学习一个非常有用的技巧：如何用“定式思维”回答Part 3中“What”类型的问题。比如说："On what occasions do people usually need to wait?"
遇到这种问题，我们是否需要一一列举很多个例子并加以解释呢？如果这样做，显然在提升了我们答题难度的同时，容易让自己陷入一时想不出例子，脑子一片空白的尴尬境地。
本期我们就来用“定式思维四步法”来为大家提供一种回答这类型问题的万能思路。
1、第一步：重复题目
第一步我们把它叫做Paraphrase重复题目。
首先我们可以使用一些开头的“垫用句”，例如：
I believe that...
I guess that...
It seems that...
I would probably/definitely say that...
I would have to say that...
用以上句子作为开头，可以给自己一些缓冲思考的空间，然后开始Paraphrase把话题打开，例如：
I believe there are several ways/reasons...
那么，一起来回答开头的问题：
I believe there are many occasionswhen people need to line up and wait.
2、第二步：压缩话题
打开话题之后我们就需要找到一个方向去深入解释，把一个大的话题压缩成一个例子来陈述。
这时候我们可以用类似“其中最重要的是...”这样的句子来进行压缩，这里可以使用的开头句型有：
I guess the most important/obvious/common one is...
One of the most...is...
由此，我们可以在自己已准备的语料库里找到自己有所准备的部分联想套用。针对这一步，开头的问题可以这样回答：
I guess the most common one is when you want to see a doctor.
3、第三步：解释原因
在第二步压缩好话题到一个点上之后，我们就要针对这一点做详细的解释了。这里可以着重阐述一下为什么你认为你选择的这个点是最重要的/最明显的/最不可忽视的/最普遍的等等...
这里我们可以使用：
The reason is...
This is probably because...
Since...
我们继续以开头的问题为例，看看怎样接着解释原因：
and that's probably becausewe have limited medical resources, and we have always lacked good doctors.
4、第四步：表明结果
最后一步我们可以在解释好原因的基础上，给出一个结果总结。
这里我们可以使用：
As a result...
Therefore...
So...
依旧是开头的问题，最后的第四步可以这样表明结果：
As a result, these medical centers are usually overbooked and you will need to wait for hours even when you have an appointment.
- 举个例子
最后我们一起用这个“定式思维四步法”来练习一道口语题吧。
“What habits should children have?”
(1).重复题目：
Well I believe there are several good habits children should have growing up.
(2).压缩话题：
I guess the most important one is to have good personal hygiene (个人卫生), like wash hands or brush teeth properly twice a day.
(3).解释原因：
That's probably because children are not self disciplined as adults.
(4).表明结果：
So they need to be reminded all the time this habit could help them stay healthy.
- 写在最后
其实大家都知道套句这个东西其实并不是特别好，除非你表演的非常恰当、运用的非常自如，不小心就会让考官觉得你这段话是背出来的。
因此，与其大量的研究套句，不如研究一下固定的思维模式，把每道题都放在固定的框架里。这样我们就可以在短时间内组织出更有逻辑的回答，表述得更加清晰。
