而且WD也不像其他能力一样直接体现在我们的应试水平，所以本期云讲堂就来给大家具体介绍一下Written Discourse.

官方对Written Discourse的解释：

Correct and communicatively efficient production of written language at the textual level. Written discourse skills are represented in the structure of a written text, its internal coherence, logical development and the range of linguistic resources used to express meaning precisely.

第一句话是说，要写出一篇正确的，让人看得懂的书面产物（这不是废话呢吗  SWT小技巧看文章第一句，那么第一句不是，咱看第二句，重点来了）Written discourse skills are represented in the……

我们看到的第一个信息点和第三个信息点分别是the structure of a written text和 logical development。我把这两个归为一类，那什么是正确的行文结构和逻辑发展呢？这四句话有着怎么样一个逻辑关系呢？

以written assessment 为例 - 选择不支持，坏处多

1. 首先，给出你的观点句（written assessment is not a comprehensive way to reflect one’s ability），

2. 接下来，我们要对观点句进行一个解释-为什么不能够反映学生的真实能力（透过现象看本质）因为答题方式的考试只关注学生的学术能力，没有关注到学生的实际能力和道德意识（such an approach emphasises academic performance, not practical skills and ethical awareness）

3. 为了让解释更加有说服力，在解释句后面我们写入一句举例句（To illustrate this, presentation skill is a convincing example）充分说明我们的解释是对的。

4. body part的最后一句话是结果句。结果句是基于解释句，即这种考试只关注学术能力会有什么结果（As a result, students may not be fully developed in every aspect）学生不能够全面发展。

往往主题段我们要写两段，所以推荐一个让步的写法，即写出written assessment的一个好处。把它放在body part2，然后省去观点2的结果。这样两个坏处，一个好处，让文章变得更丰满。

议论文最后的部分就是conclusion. 把自己的观点再写一遍，然后再把两个坏处，一个好处抄下来，齐活！搞定！注意啊，观点不能反水，第一段是支持坏处多，那么最后一段的观点也一定要支持坏处多！

说完了the structure of a written text和logical development, 我们来看一下Internal coherence，简称行文的连贯性

我把它分为以下两点：句子的连贯性和会不会使用指代

1. 在文章结构里我们引出了解释和结果句。那么我们想一下，结果和解释的突然出现会不会让彼此很生疏呢？中间加一个连接词会不会更好呢？  

- 引入解释句，我们可以说 This is because 或者 That is to say. 

- 引入结果句，我们可以说 As a result 是不是感觉更圆滑了呢?

2. 在指代方面，我们也要学会用代词来替代我们上句话说到的内容

- I love study, and study makes me happy. 不好

- I love study, and it makes me happy. 很好

- I like playing singing, dancing and rap. Singing, dancing and rap make me happy 不好

- I like playing singing, dancing and rap. These activities make me happy   很好

到了本次讲堂的最后一个重要部分：range of linguistic resources 语言的丰富度。

School should group student according to their abilities, do you agree or disagree.要想表达不同的教育或者把学生分类，从题目里我们可以直接摘取的词是grouping students，那么可能有些学生会整篇文章一直写grouping students. 这是就没有做到语言的丰富。

我们要学会围绕一个意思，进行不同的表达，比如 the difference in education, the differential education, dividing students into groups …就感觉同一意思，但表达丰富了很多.好了，本期讲堂就到这里了，大家有没有对Written Discourse 有一个深入的了解了呢？
